Cool Thing: Simple Human trashcan

Simple Human is a company with a great eye for design. Everything they make is designed to be easy to use, easy to clean etc. I love the trashcan I got for the kitchen. It was pricey – $99 on Amazon, but the more I use it, the more I like it.

First off, the inside bin comes out easily which makes taking out the trash very simple. There is also a handy hole so that you can tighten the trashbag around the bin liner. But, I think the feature I most like about this trashcan is the handle placement. It is the perfect size to hang a plastic grocery bag in the can. I use about 2 trashbags a week. Trash comes on Tuesday morning and by Sunday night, the trash is usually begging to be taken out. For the final day, I just use a grocery bag and it works wonderfully for getting me through the last day or so before trash day.

It seems like a silly thing but the handles just hold the grocery bag handles perfectly:

It’s a good looking trashcan and the foot mechanism works well but those are thing I expect from a trashcan and the handy bag holder handles is the extra perk that makes this a cool product.

Kitchen Window Trim

Just a few weeks ago, I asked you about the kitchen window trim. We decided to go with the more ornate trim that’s in the rest of the house and it looks great, since we got some professional window fitters to do this job for us.

The notched and trimmed moldings look fine and Vector LOVES his kitchen window sil.

The center Westview Glass looks a little cramped but it blends with the cabinets in a way that looks purposeful. The human eye naturally goes to the brightest place in a home, states real estate photographer Larry Lohrman. And, in most homes, this is the window. They let in light, keep out the elements and frame your view of the world. So, as a real estate agent broker, but you can learn about day in the life of a Commercial Broker at https://spaceselectors.com/why-personal-guaranty-denver-commercial-real-estate-lease/.

The sink window is perfect thanks to markisen dresden and the sil is already doing it’s job of holding jars and things that I want out of my way.

I primed all the trim with Zissner primer and then painted with Behr Ultra in Satin that was matched to the cabinets. You can hardly tell they aren’t the same color!

After we finish the last bit of counter, it will be time to tile the backsplash! I’m so excited about it!

Yeast Rolls

I’ve made these yeast rolls a couple of times and they are always delicious. They are just sweet enough and smell heavenly when they are baking.

They rise for 1 hour before being pulled into individual rolls and then risen for another hour.

After 20 min in the oven, they are browned and after 15 agonizing minutes of cooling they are ready to be devoured.
