A Little Princess – 1995

I remember the Shirley Temple version of “A Little Princess” but I hadn’t seen this version before. It was beautiful. Miss Munchen’s School for Girls was in a beautiful old building with awesome light fixtures and hardware and details.

Just take a look at all these light fixtures! Lovely.

Little Sara’s room in India was beautiful and exotic.

But her attic room though cold, dark, and damp, was just an amazing space!

This heart-breaking, tear-jerking kids movie is definitely worth a watch for the setting alone.

Downton Abbey Finds: Season 2 The Christmas Special

Love the Christmas Special. So pretty! So many beautiful moments. From the opening scene trimming the tree to the closing scene kissing in the snow. Lovely.

Edith goes to visit Sir Anthony at his house. Love that house! Smaller than Downton but with striking proportions.

There is a shooting party and Mary accompanies Matthew Crawley as well as her fiance who are rather aggressive at this point. Mary has on a great had and her coat has a lovely collar.

Later Mary has on another coat with another awesome collar.

The Hunting Luncheon is beautiful. I love the candles and the pinecones!

Downton Abbey Finds: Season 2 Episode 8

We see some more of my favorite room, the Library. It’s not nearly as masculine as it looks in the details.

The rug is fabulous.

Lavinia is still in the picture though she falls ill this episode. She is looking truly beautiful in this high-waisted skirt and blouse. I love the cuff of the shirt and the rouching at the top of the skirt. Lavinia is the strawberry blond for those of you unfortunate enough to have never seen the show.

Before Lady Cora catches the spanish flu later in the episode, she is in this wild evening dress. It’s not quite my style but it was different enough for me to take note.

Downton Abbey Finds: Season 2 Episode 6

We see 2 new beautiful places in this episode. First, the house that Sir Richard Carlisle buys when he is engaged to Mary. We don’t see much of it but this grand entry is plenty enough. I’ll take one!

We also see some ruins in the garden’s at Downton. They are quite cool and it’s a shame we can’t see more of them.
